Advocate for the Arts!

The 2017 General Assembly session will convene on Wednesday, January 11th for a short 45 day session to end on February 25, 2017. The House Appropriations and Senate Finance Committees will release their budget amendments on Sunday, February 11th.

During the 2017 Session, Virginians for the Arts asks that funding for the Virginia Commission for the Arts remains intact at its current level to ensure critical grant funding for the arts organizations of Virginia. Please contact your local legislators to tell them your stories about how the Arts Build Communities and to thank them for their support of the arts.
